Ottawa, Aug 3 - Coffee and doughnut chain Tim Hortons said on Friday that second-quarter profit fell 12 percent, despite higher revenue, on a higher tax rate.
Spun off in March of 2006 from U.S. fast food chain Wendy's International, Tim Hortons said it earned C$67.2 million ($63.4 million), or 36 Canadian cents a share. That is down from a profit of C$76.3 million, or 39 Canadian cents, in the year-before period.
