4 October 2007 - Groupe Saveur, a leading French food ingredient producer for the ready meal sector, has been acquired by investment funds Céréa Gestion and Banexi Capital (a BNP bank investor branch).
The investment funds acquired an 82% stake in the company from Quartus Gestion, Cogepa and Capzanine for an undisclosed sum. Management will keep the remaining 18% of the shares.
Based in Bréal-sous-Montfort (Ile-et-Vilaine department) since 1988, Saveur has two factories in France and another one in Belgium.
Saveur has 150 employees and an annual production of ingredients and flavours of over 9,000 tons.
The company saw its 2006 turnover amount to 50 million euro.
Saveur’s product range includes culinary flavours, bouillons, marinades, coatings, glazes, seasonings and aromatic preparations, powdered cheese preparations and cheese flavourings, thickeners, jellies and gelling agents, sport nutrition products, etc.
