Paris, Nov 9 - French champagne maker Laurent-Perrier reported a 15.1 percent rise in 2007-08 first-half sales to 115.43 million euros.

Volumes accounted for 7.7 percentage points of the rise in the six months to end-September, but the company expects a slowdown in volume growth in the second half, it said on Friday.

Improvements in the product mix account for 7.9 percentage points and the company said it expected to match this for the year as a whole.

The Laurent-Perrier brand continued to boost its share of group sales. That was due in part to exports to Japan, where the start of co-operation with Suntory in January led to stock-building, but this is now complete.

The champagne market has grown 6.4 percent since the start of the year, Laurent-Perrier said.
