Hanoi, Nov. 14 - Vinamilk , Vietnam's top dairy firm, said on Wednesday it made a 815 billion dong ($50.5 million) profit in the first 10 months of this year, 11 percent more than in the whole of last year.
The company did not say if the earnings were before tax or a net figure and gave no comparative figures for the first 10 months of last year.
Vinamilk said in a statement on its Web site it had revenues of 5.54 trillion dong ($343 million) in the January-October period, accounting for 74.5 percent of its target for 2007.
The 10-months results were unaudited, the firm said.
Vinamilk aims to raise its annual profit by 22.7 percent to 898 billion dong this year on revenues of 7.43 trillion dong.
State media reported last month the Ho Chi Minh City-based firm had hired a consultant to prepare for a listing on the Singapore Exchange , but no date had been set.
Shares in Vinamilk fell 2.94 percent to 165,000 dong ($10) on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange <.VNI> on Wednesday. ($1=16,144 dong)
