23 January 2008 – Marie Brizard, the troubled drinks manufacturer, has announced that it is to move its headquarters from Bordeaux to Ivry-sur-Seine, near Paris, and to transfer its Bordeaux production operations to another one of its sites, according to French media reports.
French distiller Belvédère acquired Marie Brizard off Duke Street Capital in 2006.
Heavily indebted, the group sold its Pulco and Sirop Sport brands to Orangina Group for 178 million euro last summer, as reported on FLEXNEWS.
Marie Brizard employs in excess of 600 workers at its Bordeaux, Lormont, Beaucaire and Zizurkil (Spain) sites.
