Asia Pacific Breweries Acquires Tiger Canada Inc.

18 March 2008 - Pursuant to Rule 704(15) of the Listing Manual, Asia Pacific Breweries Limited announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Asia Pacific Breweries (Singapore) Pte Ltd ("APBS"), has acquired the initial issued share capital of TIGER CANADA INC ("TCI") in Canada for C$1,000, being the paid-up capital of TCI.

It is envisaged that this new company will carry on the business of sourcing Tiger beer from APBS for distribution in the Province of Quebec, Canada.

The acquisition is not expected to have a material effect on the net tangible assets per share or earnings per share of the Group for the current financial year.

None of the Directors or controlling shareholders of the Company has any interest, direct or indirect, in the acquisition.
