The acquisition is Bom Gosto’s third in under a year, following those of Nutrilat and Vilanova Farms.

Santa Rita collects 250,000 litres of milk a day, taking Bom Gosto’s daily total to over 2 million litres.

Santa Rita has the capacity to process up to 350,000 litres of milk a day into long life milk, milk drinks, cheeses and various other dairy products which the company sells under its Sarita brand.

Tapejara, Rio do Sul-based Bom Gosto ranks among Brazil’s five largest milk processing companies. Work recently started on the group’s two new powder milk plants, one in Tapejara and the other one in San Jose, Uruguay, as reported on FLEXNEWS.
