Mexico's Modelo Monitoring InBev Bid for Anheuser

Mexico City, June 11 - Mexican brewer Modelo, the maker of Corona beer, said on Wednesday it was monitoring Belgian brewer InBev's $46.3 billion takeover bid for U.S. beer company Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc, which half owns Modelo.

"We will monitor the situation, but that is all we have to say at this point," Modelo's external communications director Jennifer Shelley told Reuters.
