Norway: NattoPharma and Danisco in Vitamin K2 Partnership

8 July 2008 - Norwegian vitamin K2 (menaquinone) supplier NattoPharma ASA announced yesterday that it has signed a letter of intent regarding a global partnership agreement with the Danisco A/S.

The proposed agreement concerns NattoPharma's MenaQ7 brand.

According to Nattopharma, MenaQ7 "provides Natural Vitamin K2 as an extract of natto, a fermented soy food from Japan. Natto is particularly rich in the highly bio-available form of vitamin K2 called menaquinone-7 (MK-7). MenaQ7 provides the only commercially available Natural Vitamin K2 with guaranteed actives and stability, clinical substantiation and international patents awarded and pending".
 
Established in 2004, Nattopharma is based in Lysaker. The company was admitted to the Oslo Stock Exchange list "Oslo Axess" on 30 January 2008.
