USA: Dairy Firm Schreiber to Close Wisconsin Plant and Relocate Production to Missouri

21 July 2008 - Schreiber Foods, a Green Bay, Wisconsin-based dairy producer plans to close its Wisconsin Rapids production facility on 30 September 2008. The facility employs 140 people.

According to local media, the facility's production activities will be shifted to another Schreiber plant in Carthage, Missouri.

The decision to relocate was made primarily to be nearer and better serve customers who acquire the processed cheese products made at Wisconsin Rapids, the company said.
