Brewer Spendrups Bryggeri Buys Production and Sales Rights for Schweppes Beverages in Sweden

10 September 2008 - Swedish brewery Spendrups Bryggeri has acquired production, sales and distribution rights for Schweppes beverages in Sweden.

The company will begin producing Schweppes products on 1 January 2009.

In a statement, Mats Liedholm, head of marketing at Spendrups Bryggeri, said that Schweppes will help Spendrups strengthen its position on the market for non-alcoholic beverages.

Established in 1987, Spendrups Bryggeri AB is the largest brewery in Sweden. The company has three breweries located in Grängesberg, Vårby and Visby with approximately 1,100 employees and its annual sales amount to SEK 2.4 billion (253 million euro).
