NBTY Acquires Leading UK Food Specialty Retailer Julian Graves

Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Sept. 17 - NBTY, Inc., a leading global manufacturer and marketer of nutritional supplements, today announced it has acquired Julian Graves, the UK's largest independent specialty natural food and ingredients retailer for approximately $25 million USD. Julian Graves has a network of 350 stores nationwide with annual sales of approximately $120 million USD.

The acquisition will expand NBTY's European Retail division from 638 stores to 983 stores.
