Aryzta Says Full-Year Operating Profit 262 Mln Euros

Zurich, Sept 22 - Newly formed specialist bakery group Aryzta posted a pro forma operating profit of 262 million euros ($380 million) for the business year ended July 31 on Monday.

Pro forma revenue for the period was 3.13 billion euros, said the group, which was created through the merger of Switzerland's Hiestand and Irish food group IAWS.

Pro forma earnings per share was 2.02 euros, the company said.

"Aryzta is confident that its business model will deliver benefits to customers and is well placed to deliver future earnings growth," the group said in a statement.

Irish baker IAWS bought Swiss peer Hiestand in a deal worth around 4 billion Swiss francs ($3.66 billion) to form one of the world's biggest baked good companies in June.
