Coca-Cola Warns Some Job Cuts Ahead

3 Oct - Coca-Cola has said it is to cut jobs in its information technology department as part of a massive cost-cutting exercise.

The soft drinks giant confirmed it would reduce its 1,100 strong department by the end of the year. A spokesman said the job losses would not be significant  but declined to give a figure.

Muhtar Kent, the company’s CEO and President, said recently he wanted to find up to US$500 million a year productivity savings by 2011.
