Colruyt Acquires 100% of the French SODEGER Group

On the 6th of October Colruyt Group acquired by its French holding SA Colruyt France 100% of the shares of the French SODEGER Group.

SODEGER is mainly active as a wholesaler of fresh products in the foodservice segment. They are specialised in the distribution of dairy products for social and commercial out-of-home kitchens in the regions Pays de Loire, Basse Normandie and Bretagne. The SODEGER headquarters is established in Château-Gontier (53 rd department Mayenne). During the fiscal year 2007 the group’s turnover reached up to € 48 million.

This acquisition fits in the further development of the activities in the foodservice segment in general, and more in particular in the development of the distribution of fresh products towards out-of-home players.

The French holding SA Colruyt France groups the French activities of the Colruyt Group, as well in the retail segment as in the foodservice segment. The consolidated turnover achieved last fiscal year € 540 million, the equity reached € 67,8 million. The Colruyt Group already employs more than 2000 people in France.
