13 Nov, 2008 – Liquid milk manufactured by the Sanlu Group - the company at the heart of the recent melamine contamination scandal - is being sold again in a number of different provinces in China, state media has reported.

Daily News Alerts

Sanlu was the first company to be found to be mixing the industrial chemical into its milk products in a scandal that has killed four and sickened thousands of babies across the country.

The milk, produced by a Sanlu subsidiary in Xingtai City, has been stocked on Chinese shelves since the beginning of this month in Henan, Hebei and Shandong, state media said.

Sanlu said it was unaware of this limited re-introduction and confirmed the company was not ready to re-establish its brand in the near future.
