Singapore Food Industries: Food Production Zone in Jilin China

18 November 2008 – On the side lines of an official visit by the Jilin City government, People's Republic of China, SFI Manufacturing Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Food Industries Limited (SFI) and the Jilin City government has today signed an agreement to explore the viability of establishing a safe food production zone in Jilin, PRC.

The immediate ensuing activity would be a jointly-funded agronomic study to identify products of commercial value which can be produced with competitive advantage within the zone.

"The Jilin Food Zone project if successful, will benefit the people of both Jilin City and Singapore." said SFI CEO, Roger Yeo Kok Tong.
