UK: Hartlepool Frozen Dessert Firm Announces Over 230 Job Cuts

5 February 2007 - Hartlepool's frozen dessert producer Bonne Bouche went into administration late last week after announcing a shortage of funds. As a result, about 232 of the 242 employees at the site will lose their jobs, reports the local press.

The remaining staff will be kept on temporary basis to assist KPMG Restructuring, the administration body which was appointed to help manage the situation.

A spokesperson from KPMG said that the firm was keen to hear from any parties interested in buying the business.
